Taught by practitioners
Board Readiness is taught by sitting chairs and non-executive directors rather than governance consultants. Participants hear how boards actually operate, including where the formal process and the real decision diverge.
Simulation over lecture
Teaching is built around recorded board simulations. Participants sit through papers, ask questions, and receive individual feedback on their contribution, judgement, and presence in the room.
Duties taken seriously
Directors' duties, liability, and the legal frame of the role are covered properly. Participants leave understanding what they are personally accountable for and what protection they do and do not have.
Positioning for a first seat
The programme addresses how to secure a first appointment and, equally, how to assess whether a particular board is worth joining. Faculty advise individually on both.
